Dolmabahçe Palace, located on the Bosphorus, is one of Istanbul’s grandest European-style palaces. Built between 1843-1856, it has 285 rooms and was the Ottoman royal family’s residence until the empire’s collapse. It later became home to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk until his death in 1938 and now operates as a museum, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Important things to know before your visit
– Entrance to the palace can only be done with our guide.
– Dolmabahce Palace Tour performs in English.
– There is a security control at the entrance. We recommend being there 10-15 minutes before the meeting time to avoid any problems.
– Due to Palace rules, live guidance is not allowed when the group is between 6-15 people to avoid noise. An audio guide will be provided for the participants in such cases.
– You will be asked for an ID card or passport to get a free audio guide. Please make sure to have one of them with you.

– Clock Tower is located at the entrance of Dolmabahce Palace after the security check.

How to get there
– By car: Head northwest on Barbaros Boulevard toward Beşiktaş and continue until you reach Dolmabahce Palace, located on the European Side, Vişnezade, Beşiktaş.
– By public transportation: You can take the T1 Tram Line from Sultanahmet to Kabataş Station. From the Kabataş Tram Station, you can walk to Dolmabahce Palace, which is located nearby.
– By taxi: You can also take a taxi to Dolmabahce Palace from anywhere in Istanbul. It’s a famous destination and most drivers will be familiar with the location.
